The Delaware County Symphony (DCS) offers young musicians (in grades 9-12) of outstanding talent the opportunity to audition for its annual youth concerto competition. The winner of the competition is awarded prize money and performs a work for solo instrument and orchestra during the May Symphony Series concert. A Chamber Series winner is also chosen to perform at the final chamber series concert in April. This year, we are pleased to announce Julie Chen, who performed Samuel Barber's Cello Concerto in A minor, Op. 22 with us at our final Symphony concert on May, 3rd, 2026. This season's Symphony Series winner, Isabella Munoz, performed Partita No. 2 in D Minor for Solo Violin by J.S. Bach on Sunday, April 12th, 2026. Congratulations to both of these amazing young women and musicians!
