The Delaware County Symphony (DCS) offers young musicians (in grades 9-12) of outstanding talent the opportunity to audition for its annual youth concerto competition. The winner of the competition is awarded prize money and performs a work for solo instrument and orchestra during the May Symphony Series concert. A Chamber Series winner is also chosen to perform at the final chamber series concert in April. The 2024- 2025 season Symphony Series winner, Kwanyun Loo, performed Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme, Op.33 on May 4th, 2025. The Chamber Series winner was a clarinet duet performed by Brahin Ahmaddiya and Kenny Mellon. Kenny performed the Poulenc Clarinet Sonata as a solo at the chamber concert on April 6th, 2025.
