Adam Vidiksis
is a composer, conductor, and percussionist whose interests span from
historically informed performance

to the
cutting edge of music technology. Mr. Vidiksis began studies on the
piano at age 4, and went on to attend New York University, receiving his
Master's degree in music composition. His original compositions
have been performed throughout the United States and abroad in venues
such as the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial
Stadium and Raven Stadium in Maryland, churches and concert halls
throughout the American northeast, and the Licino Refice Conservatorio
di Musica in Frosinone, Italy. Commissioned by International Composers
and Interactive Artists, he composed and conducted a new work performed
by the Black Sea Symphony, the orchestra of the Oleg Danovski National
Theater of Opera and Ballet in Constanta, Romania.
Mr. Vidiksis has conducted the Temple
Composers Orchestra, NYU New Music Seminar Ensemble, Summit Chorale
Orchestra, and the New Jersey Dance Theater Ensemble. His works have
been performed by the Momenta Quartet, the New Jersey Shakespeare
Festival, and the NYU Percussion Ensemble. Mr. Vidiksis recently was an
Affiliate Artist in percussion and Adjunct Lecturer at Drew University,
where he conducted the Wind Ensemble. Mr. Vidiksis is earning a Doctorate of
Musical Arts degree in music composition at Temple University, where he
has studied composition with Cynthia Folio, Maurice Wright, and Joo Won
Park. He teaches classes there in music theory, electroacoustic
techniques, and digital synthesis. His works are available through
